PA 12 S (Polyamide) for 3D Printing

PA 12 S (Polyamide) for 3D Printing

PA 12 S is a polyamide powder optimized for additive manufacturing of complex geometries with exceptionally smooth surfaces, dimensional stability, and consistent quality from batch to batch. With a combination of enhanced smoothness, high accuracy, and durability of finished parts, the material is suitable for industries where precision and surface cleanliness are critical.

Where the Material is Used

Applications in key industries where precision, durability, and surface smoothness are critically important. The material enables stable production of complex parts with predictable quality.

  • Medical Applications

Ensures precise geometric parameters and the smoothness required for prosthetic components. The material’s property stability reduces deformation risks and enhances compliance with medical requirements for sterility and biocompatibility.

  • Industry

Optimally suited for manufacturing functional prototypes, tools, and fixtures. The material’s structure minimizes the risk of microcracks, increases the durability of products, and ensures dimensional stability even during extended operational cycles.

  • Consumer Goods

PA 12 S is ideal for products with high aesthetic requirements, such as lighting fixtures, decorative elements, and device housings. Its smooth surface eliminates the need for additional post-processing, providing high appeal for finished products. Consistent print quality simplifies scaling production.

Painting Products Black

Without additional processing, the details have a gray, rough surface. Therefore, the products can be painted black after printing. This is an inexpensive and fast way to get parts with a quality finish.

High Physical Properties

PA 12 S material forms dense, uniform layers that ensure the structural integrity of parts without delamination or microcracks. Finished products exhibit stable mechanical properties, resistance to abrasive wear, and minimal sensitivity to temperature fluctuations and UV radiation. This ensures high strength and precision of parts even under intensive use.

*The assessment of the cost and feasibility of metal printing is based on several factors — not only the weight (volume) of the part, but also its geometry, the complexity of post-processing, and other technological parameters. Therefore, the preparation of the estimate may take longer than the usual 30–60 minutes, extending to several hours or even up to two working days. In addition, since the production facility is located outside Ukraine, it is important to consider all relevant logistics factors.
