Customer’s problem
To test the molds, the company required a physical model of the neck and cap of the bottle. The size of the finished products had to be 38.99 mm × 37.85 mm × 35 mm, with tolerances up to 0.3 mm. This required a printing technology that ensured high quality and precision. Conventional 3D printing technologies did not provide the necessary technical characteristics.
Resolution of the problem
The customer asked Makerly 3D Printing for help and provided their 3D model for printing. The parts were produced on a HP Jet Fusion 5210 industrial printing line. The device allows printing with high resolution (up to 1200 DPI) and a minimum layer thickness of up to 80 microns.
Results
Ten samples of the ordered products were printed within five days. The parts were both durable and resistant to chemical and mechanical stress. Thanks to Makerly 3D Printing, the customer quickly received parts to test the mold design and also avoided any unexpected problems in the molding process.
