Allbionics is a Ukrainian company focused on developing and manufacturing high-tech prosthetics using modern technologies.
Client’s Challenge
The client needed fast and high-quality production of prosthetic components tailored to the individual needs of each patient. The company’s developers had tried different types of 3D printing, but they failed to deliver the required surface quality and smoothness. Other manufacturing methods, such as injection molding, were inconvenient and costly.
Solution
Allbionics representatives turned to Makerly for support and provided a 3D model of the prosthetic socket. The part was printed using the HP Jet Fusion 5210 industrial 3D printing system with HP PA 12 polyamide. This technology and material make it possible to create durable parts with complex geometries that are resistant to mechanical stress and chemicals.
Result
The required socket was printed and dyed within 7 business days. The final part fully met the client’s technical specifications. Additionally, it was produced using a biocompatible material, which was crucial given the part’s medical application.
