Esper Bionics is a Ukrainian-American startup creating the world’s first bionic ecosystem. The company develops smart prostheses, neurocomputer interfaces, and cloud platforms for the personalization of wearable devices. One of the company’s key products is the Esper Hand — a bionic prosthetic hand that learns and adapts to the user with the help of artificial intelligence.
Customer’s Problem
For the production of prostheses, the client needed a set of components made from a strong and durable material. Several printing technologies were considered for this purpose, but none met the technical and economic requirements: FDM and SLS did not provide the required quality, while SLA printing turned out to be too expensive.
Problem Solution
The company’s engineers turned to Makerly for assistance and provided 3D models of the products. They were manufactured using the HP Jet Fusion 5210 industrial line. The parts were printed from several materials: polyamide PA 12, PA 12 S, and TPU. The technology and materials used make it possible to create strong, durable products of any geometric complexity. They are resistant to moisture, ultraviolet radiation, and chemical exposure.
Result

The required set of products was printed and painted within 10 working days. All parts fully met the client’s technical requirements. Thanks to cooperation with Makerly, the client achieved the desired product quality and significantly improved its durability.
